Dato' Seri N. Gobalakrishnan has been a practicing lawyer since 1995, after graduating from the University of East London, UK, and being admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaysia the same year. He possesses broad legal expertise in conveyancing, banking and finance litigation, criminal litigation, and general litigation. Since 1997, he has served as the Senior Partner at Messrs Khairil Sani, Gobal & Beng Tatt, a prominent legal firm in Perai, Penang. His leadership has played a key role in the firm’s continued success. In addition to his legal career, Dato' Seri N. Gobalakrishnan has been actively involved in community and business organizations. He has held several leadership roles in the Penang Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including Honorable Secretary (2005–2007), President (2007–2010), State President (2017–2023), and currently serves again as Honorable Secretary (2023–2025). His longstanding dedication to law and community service reflects his strong commitment to professionalism and public engagement.
